Anything that happens to play in my head... or whatever Shella is singing next to me.
None that I know of... yet.

Monica was born and raised in the tropical island nation of Taiwan. Growing up, she played various sports in school including basketball, volleyball, badmington, pingpong, and track.

When she was 14, she moved to California with her parents where she remained to this day. While attending the University of Southern California, she started playing pick up hockey with friends around the school parking lots. It all started with a simple game with friends in the parking lot with rollerblades, a stick, and a ball. She was hooked.

When she moved to Marina Del Rey after graduation, she joined a local roller hockey league and started playing organized hockey. She also played roller hockey in Santa Monica and Venice on weekends. When the Marina Del Rey MISC Roller Hockey League closed down, her team moved to Toyota Sports Center and transitioned into ice hockey.

Monica had played on many local and travel teams from Southern California. Hockey tournaments had brought her to many distant locations such as Vancouver, Alaska, Colorado, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Montreal, and Nova Scotia. She currently plays for the Silver Lady Kings of Los Angeles, and also serves as a board member and a captain of the LA Chill Women's Ice Hockey Club. Besides organizing monthly practices for women hockey players in Southern California, she enjoys coaching new players and see them develop in her beginner clinics.

In her spare time she trains and competes in triathlons, and had recently completed an Ironman Triathlon in Arizona in 2008.
